Once a candidate has identified a role that is of interest, there are a number of commonly reported factors that ultimately put them off making an application: concerns regarding the employer was a consistent theme in our responses - whether it is company culture or their reputation within the industry. Another was the job description, which many respondents found to be too vague. Withholding information, misleading descriptions and overstating responsibilities were all sources of frustration.
