Engineering is a fascinating and exciting Research and Technology Centrecareer option, and we hope that many of them will be inspired to (DARTeC) at Cranfield Universityfollow this path. We warmly congratulate them and perhaps we will with the top five teams from thesee some of them studying here at Cranfield in the future!seasons league table having to design and build a prototype toProfessor Graham Braithwaite, Director of Transport Systemsreceive deliveries by drone in aat Cranfield Universitychosen building. The five national finalists were Sandringham School from Hertfordshire, Fallibroome Academy from Cheshire, Thomas Alleyne Academy from Hertfordshire, The Gilberd School from Essex and The Corbet School from Shropshire. Teams were judged on their product design IET Faradayand presentation. After a very close competition with impressive presentations this seasons winning team was Fallibroome National Final Academy from Cheshire. The winning team designed a prototype receiver box with pressure pad for drone deliveries at hospitals. It was an inspiring event for everyone involved and we are confident this seasons challenge has given students an insight into the life of a real engineer, the variety a career in engineering can offer and just how exciting and creative engineering really is.
