34 IET Innovation Awards Recognising innovation IET Innovation Awards Recognising excellence across the breadth of science, engineering and technology, the free to enter IET Innovation Awards welcome entries from around the world. Each category is independently judged by a panel of engineering experts in that field, and the shortlist is announced each September. Winners are revealed at a black-tie ceremony and gala dinner, held in London each November. Our award categories cover a wide range of engineering disciplines, including sustainability and environmental impact, power and energy, cyber security, transport and young innovators, to name a few. There is also the E&T Innovation of the Year, an extra top prize for one of our category winners, which comes with additional coverage in E&T magazine. Who’s it for? Anyone developing innovative products, applications or services within the scope of the award categories. The awards are open to everyone. What’s on offer? Award winners receive money saving conference passes for IET events, automatic consideration to deliver a future IET EngTalk, the chance for a representative of the winning company to be an Innovation Award judge, and benefit from extensive media coverage, both to the IET’s 169,000+ members and in the wider press. Finalists have the opportunity to showcase their innovation at the awards ceremony. What else do I need to know? The Innovation Awards are open to industrial and academic teams and enterprising individuals, anywhere in the world. Each innovation can be entered in up to three categories completely free, although you can enter as many different innovations as you wish.
