AF Amistad High School Family Handbook 2017-2018 | 66 Tardy Late to School – (-10) -10 Wolf Points Early Dismissal Early Dismissal –Wolf Point Deduction (-10) -10 Wolf Points Guiding Principles  Factors in student/ family’s control  Not easily verifiable  Important and verifiable  Within student’s and family’s control Examples  Overslept  Vacation  No reason relayed  Doctor’s appointment  Medical absence, tardy, or early dismissal  Sent home by nurse  Bereavement Submission of Official Medical Notes Scholars who miss school due to illness or a medical appointment, and turn in an official note from the medical provider for that absences, will have the absence/early dismissal/late arrival “excused.” In cases in which the family is unable to take the scholar for medical care, or for instances in which the family believes the illness does not require medical care, the school requests that the family call their medical provider to inform them of the illness.
