Below WHAT WE DO are pro-growth legislative proposals that the Chamber hopes to work with the General Assembly and Governors Office on to spur economic development and create good jobs in Illinois.n SUPPORT economic development tools that grow Illinois, including extending the R&D tax credit, modernizing the EDGE tax credit, and supporting new, growing industriespromoting economic opportunity and accessn SUPPORT workers where they are: working with our partners in the labor community to expand Illinois tax credit portfolio to focus on workforce development, bolster employer childcare support options, and employer-sponsored benefitsn SUPPORT narrow, modern, and reasonable updates to the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) law by allowing security-purpose exemptions and technical changes to support innovation (HB 2838)n SUPPORT an all-of-the-above approach to clean energy goals by helping the private sector continue to have access to critical affordable, reliable, safe, clean, and sustainable energy sources and employ clean energy solutionsn SUPPORT reasonable environmental justice policies that create uniform rules and regulations to enhance compliance by the regulated industries (SB 1686) n SUPPORT reasonable modifications to the States Paid Leave for All Workers Act that allows businesses, especially small businesses, better comply with the law (HB 3531) 4ILLINOIS BUSINESS LEADER'
