In my Address, I made four pledges: communicate and consolidate IET Strategy 2030, including promoting my four Zs; act to make a difference for our IET, selflessly; champion technicians; and meet as many members and volunteers as possible and listen hard to what you say. It has been a busy and exciting year and I believe Ive kept true to these, though you must judge the second for yourself. Certainly, I have enjoyed meeting our members, volunteers, colleagues and partners without whom our work would not be possible. Covid-19 has got in the way of physical events, though my monthly, virtual Meet the President sessions have proved valuable to me and I trust enjoyable for those who have joined.
