b'Partner News Spring 2022 27EnterpriseA unique model thatfast-tracks learners from skills bootcamps to technology apprenticeships will offer employers the most diverse, qualifiedand employment-ready talent.Skills City, established by IN4 Group, is expanding its relationship with training organisation Raytheon Professional Services as an apprenticeship partner, to provide a new digital skills and talent provision.This collaboration will further increase fair access to technology careers, particularly for those from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds. It does this by streamlining the pathway from bootcamps to apprenticeships with learners qualifying in less time than the current standard through accredited training. PioneeringBased at the Home of Skills and Technology (HOST) in MediaCity, Skills City secured 1.2m from the Department for Education in July 2021 to deliver six skills bootcamps, fast-tracking 450 people into technology careers. pathways fromUK Skills Minister Alex Burghart recently visited Skills City to meet the staff and bootcamp students.Having already worked with Raytheon over digital skillsthe last year to deliver its cyber bootcamps, Skills City will provide learners across all eight of its technology bootcamps with training and development support over 12-16 weeks. This will prepare them for jobs that bootcamps togo straight into Level 3-5 apprenticeships with a local employer. All the bootcamps will be mapped to specific apprenticeship standards, technologyaccelerating talent competencies and meeting labour market demand. Skills City focuses on an employer-led approach so that its bootcamps and apprenticeships apprenticeships offer the most in-demand technology skills across disciplines including software development, network engineering, cyber security, data analytics, user experience (UX) and gaming.'
