b'A MOMENT OF REFLECTION MISSION & GRATITUDEIn early February 2024, I had the privilege of meeting here in South Florida with Fr. Marek Machala from the Archdiocese of Przemys, Poland, located on the border of Ukraine. He shared how Our Lord called him to his current ministry as Director of the Pastoral Family Care Program (PFCP) at the border. At the outbreak of the war, he immediately began to organize a resettlement program for the vast number of refugees fleeing the conflict. Not a week later, I embarked on five site visits to the Northeast, where at one site, I was honored to sit with Sr. Mumbi Kigutha, CPPS, President of Friends in Solidarity. This organization supports the people of Africa, especially those suffering immensely from significant flooding, famine, and drought. In the last twelve months, I estimate that collectively, our team has been on at least fifty site visits and engaged in person or on Zoomwith at least forty more representatives from organizations. Every interaction is humbling. You cannot visit these Iwanttothankallourpartnerorganizationsandtheirteamorganizations and not members.
