b'Fire Engineering Assessment, Revision 01 DeltaCool, DeltaSecrectFix, DeltaTrim at 100 mm and 75 mm Fire Performance, Project No. 25367 25367-SFE-FEA-01-Delta Panel Fire Performance 4.1.5Assessment The purpose of testing to AS ISO 9705-2003 and classification to AS 5637.1:2015 is to indicate the amount of time taken for the material, in this case 100 mm DeltaCool panel with a mineral wool core, to reach flashover. Under AS ISO 9705-2003 testing conditions, this is taken as the point at which the heat release rate reaches 1MW. AS 5637.1-2015 gives the tested material a group classification of: -Group Number 1material that does not reach flashover when exposed to 100 kW for 600 s followed by exposure to 300 kW for 600 s. -Group Number 2material that reaches flashover following exposure to 300 kW within 600 s after not reaching flashover when exposed to 100 kW for 600 s. -Group Number 3material that reaches flashover in more than 120 s but within 600 s when exposed to 100 kW. -Group Number 4material that reaches flashover within 120 s when exposed to 100 kW. NCC S7C4 utilises the group classification from AS 5637.1-2015 to restrict the use of materials for walls and ceilings for various layouts, building classifications, and services. A DeltaCool panel with a mineral wool core is made from laminates of pre-painted steel skins bonded to the mineral wool core. As measured by Jensen Hughes, the two steel skins have a nominal thickness of 0.65 mm each which are expected to be adhered with an adhesive layer of less than 1 mm in thickness. For the 100 mm thick DeltaCool panel test specimen, the mineral wool core has a nominal thickness of 99 mm (illustrated in Figure 4-13). The mineral wool was tested in accordance with AS 1530.1-1994 by CSIRO Infrastructure Technologies dated 24 July 2020 and was deemed to be non-combustible (Certificate of Test in Appendix ECertification of Test for Mineral Wool). The steel is also non-combustible in accordance with NCC C2D10(5)(b). Thus, the concern with the materials contribution to the HRR are the painted coating on the steel skin and the adhesive binding the steel skin and the mineral wool. As seen in Figure 4-13, the burner was initiated at 100 KW at 0 s and increased to 300 kW at 600 s for the remainder of the test period. The total HRR of the burner with the 100 mm thick DeltaCool panel is not appreciably increased to the HRR of the burner itself. Page 23'
