The Los Angeles Unified School District's Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP), endorsed during the 2020-21 academic year, dedicates specific funding to rectify the enduring educational gaps faced by Black students compared to their non-Black peers. It centers on implementing culturally responsive teaching methods, forging alliances with successful community-based organizations within the Black community, and bolstering staffing resources to cater to Black students' academic and socio-emotional necessities. To support Priority Schools, the ETO collaborates with the Central, regional, and school-based teams to ensure the District's Priority Schools receive the appropriate support and attention to address students' academic and social-emotional needs. Through ETO, Priority Schools receive direct support but remain under the purview of the Region Superintendents. In collaboration with the regions, ETO works solely with priority schools to evaluate existing school systems and programs, support schools in identifying corrective courses of action, and ensure the equitable delivery of high-quality instruction.CAAASA 2024 Statewide Professional Development Summit45"
